Tiny in a box

I just couldn't resist him. He is so cute. He loved just sitting in this little box and playing. How easily amused they are at this age.

My sister and her little people came to stay last week and we had a great time. We went to the museum and a new splash park. And of course just played outside in the pool. I love when other kids come over because mine are then entertained.

Funny things

Here are two funny things compliments of Sinclaire.

We went to the farmers market yesterday and she asked where the farmer was,
so I told her that they were all farmers.
Then she asked, "Where is the one with the hat?"

Kids crack me up, and now that I think about it, why do all the pictures feature a farmer with a hat on?

At Meijer Sinclaire passed some stuffed cats and she asked for one.
So I replied with, "How many toys at home do you have that you don't like to pick up?"
She responded with, "Like a million."

At least I know she listens to me.

The ground cherry

This little fruit, for those who do not know is a ground cherry. It looks like a miniature tomato, but is a tad bit sweet. I had these when I was little and then about two summers ago someone shared them with me and I knew I had to grow some of my own. Well this year the ladies from church were ordering seeds and someone had it on their list and I was lucky enough to see it and get some too. I gave three people started seeds and only one out of the nine I gave out made it, so they have been a bit of trouble. But this is the first little fruit to fall and we split it three ways. It was as good as I remember and I am so glad my plants made it.

Progress

We are glad to have some flooring done. We love the color and I can't wait until it is finished. They will be back Monday to finish the floor and Tuesday the trim. Hopefully that will finish it up, but they might be back Wednesday to finish completely. We got to hang out with grandma and do the laundry one day and play with our friends the other day. I am glad we had some where to go that was fun, thanks guys.

Back to the drawing board

So this is where we are. Back to the beginning. We are finally moving along. It has been like this for so long I was beginning to think that this was the normal state of our home.

When Sinclaire and I watered the garden this morning we had a pleasant surprise. Carrots, orange and purple ones. I had been wondering when to know if they are ready, but I could see the top part of the root and so I picked them. I am pretty excited to try them, and the girls think the purple ones are very cool.

I am a little sad because I talked to someone at church on Sunday and she asked if my squash had vine bores and I said that I hadn't noticed any. Well I looked on Monday and I noticed that my big zucchini had them so I tried to dig them out. Then I noticed yesterday that all my plants had them. So I am not sure if I will get anymore squash or not. Hopefully digging out the bores worked.
