Moving On

We have been out of town a lot. Last weekend we had my mom's auction. I know it has been two years in the making, but my dad had lots of stuff to get rid of. It was a freezing cold day, but no snow so that was a blessing. I am just glad that it finally happened and that most of that stuff is gone, I know my mom is glad too. But most of all someone else took it away and I didn't have to. I know not many people go to auctions, but I love them. I love the great deals you can get, and what good stuff to be had. Now we have to get the rest of the doors out of the house so we can move on to the next step-pushing over the house that is pictured below. Then we will burn the house, the barn, and all the out buildings. As I think about it it is a little bit sad, but things happen and we move on.

What a cute house! Too bad it will be burned. Oh well, like you said-time to move on.

why do you have to burn the house down?

My sister purchased the land from my mom about 2 years ago and they built a new house. They tried to find someone to redo this one, but out of four people only one said he would think about doing it. It would have cost more to fix this one than just building a new one. Anyway, they can only have one house on the property so this one has to go.
