Sunday mornings

So, ever had a Sunday morning where you are begging to crawl back in bed and not go to church? That was yesterday. It all started when Sinclaire refused to wear one of the two dresses that had long sleeves. We left her sweater at my mom's and didn't have it. One would have thought the whole world blew up. So we tried and tried to covince her to wear one with long sleeves, but she ended up finally putting a white shirt under a jumper. (my fault because I have conditioned her to wear something over, rather that under.) Then Kit Kat refused to wear the black shoes. Even though they looked way cute. She just had to wear the brown ones. Umm...she is ONE. Does she really care what shoes she wears? (Then I have Sam saying in the background, "It's your fault, you made them crazy about which shoes they wear with what outfit." ) So now it is my fault for wanting their shoes to match. Oh and one can not forget the beehive Kit Kat had from syurp from her pancakes. Oh it was lovely and all I really had time to do was spray it with water and plant a bow on top and hope it didn't come off. Oh yes, shoes were flying, children screaming, but we did make it before the opening prayer.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I've had many Sunday mornings like this. I'm going to flat out lie and say it gets better. :)

Instead of you trying to dress them it will be them dressing themselves and you screaming about what they're wearing...so get used to have zero influence in your children's wardrobe:-)

Little Sal has a shoe thing going on too. My mother-in-law bought him these cute converse shoes that were a brown plaid. Anytime they came out of the closet, he would run, screaming in the opposite direction. He absolutely, 100% refused to put the shoes on his feet! He was just past 1, so I guess they formulate their opinions early?

Is that what I have to look forward to with Maggie?

Before the opening prayer is VERY impressive. I wish you had included a picture of the beehive with the black shoes.

Wow, and I love that Sam thinks wearing matching shoes is crazy . . .

let's cross our fingers that you get a boy who doesn't care one lick if he matches or not.
