Swollen ankles

I didn't eat dinner with the fam last night, but Sam told me a funny story that happened.

Sinclaire said she had a baby in her belly and then she kept raising up her leg and pushing on her ankle and saying, "See Pops, I have a baby in my belly." I guess I have been worrying about my swollen ankles a bit too much. Although I should lose about 50 pounds of water weight with how big they are. I guess I should stop saying the word crap and stupid and such also. I am pretty sure I wont like the first time she says that to someone.

This morning I said, "Yea, it is payday."

Sinclaire answered with, "Where are we going to go?"

My pick would be vacation, but I am not sure we could make it to our destination, eat meals, and have somewhere to stay with just one payday. I bet Sinclaire would be happy with a place that has french fries.

Interesting

I think what we found out about the side of the bed that people sleep on is very interesting. Most people don't have a "favorite" side of the bed. I never really thought about changing sides due to circumstance and moving and safety and such. I always thought people slept on that side due to pure preference. I may have to rethink which side I sleep on when we move. Thank you all for playing along. Maybe I will have to think of another interesting peaking question soon.

Side Poll

I know this is kind of a bizarre question, but the other day I was thinking about which side of the bed I slept on. I sleep on the right side, when I am in it. Then I thought of some women I know. My mom, she slept on the right side when my dad was alive. Then I thought of my sister's and a couple of friends and my mother-in-law. They all sleep on the right side. ( Sorry if I embarrassed anyone, but I am pretty sure none of those people read my blog. I know, I know no one in my family reads this thing.) So I was curious if this was a phenomenon, or maybe I just don't know very many people.

How about you? I am very interested in which side of the bed you sleep on?

Static electricity

I think Sinclaire looks hysterical in this picture. Kinda creepy really. Sam made them a tent to play in, which they love, one Saturday that I was at the grocery. I think Sam should stay home more often just to play with the kiddos. I shouldn't say things like that with the economy the way it is, and I really am grateful Sam has a job, it would just be nice to have him home more.

The wound

Here is the picture, for all you that were waiting. Sorry if it grosses you out. Every time Sinclaire looks at it she gets this funny face and tells me to turn it around.

Finger surgery

So yesterday was going along just fine. I went to the grocery, the bank, the library. Then it was time to make food for a friend who had a baby. So I was in a bit of a hurry and made a bad choice, and had to get five stitches in my right index finger. I will take a picture of it when I take the bandage off tomorrow. Now at night not only do I wake up to go to the bathroom, shift to the other side, and take care of two children, I also wake up because I have a throbbing finger.

The superior snow cone

I love snow cones. So what did I ask Sam to get me for my birthday? A snow cone maker. I got the reusable holders and pina colada flavor. I have always liked the snow cone as a child. I would get one at the fair, along with cotton candy, the two most sugary treats available. But now that I am older I know of a superior snow cone. The one with ice cream in the bottom. So that after you add the flavor the ice melts a bit, and then you mix it and it is a creamy, delicious treat. You should all try one for yourself. If you don't have a snow cone maker, come on over and I will make you one.
